Trimox Common use

Trimox is a semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic which active substance is amoxicillin. The medication inhibits formation of cell walls in different bacteria such as N. gonorrhoea, H. influenzae, E. coli, Streptococci, Pneumococci, some strains of Staphylococci. Trimox Dosage and direction

To treat different sorts of infections Trimox should be administered 250 mg every eight hours, 500 mg every eight hours, 500 mg each twelve hours or 875 mg every twelve hours. Take with a full glass of water with or without a meal. For children the dosage should be reduced.

Probenecid decreases the renal tubular secretion of Trimox.

Never take a double dose of this medication. If it is almost time of the next dose just skip the missed portion and continue to take the medicine according to the schedule.

Trimox Overdose

If you feel that too much of Trimox was taken and experience such symptoms as diarrhea, upset stomach, nausea, stomach cramps, vomiting seek immediate medical attention.

Trimox should be stored at room temperature between 20-25 C (68-77 F).
