Flovent Common use

Flovent is a medication which used in the treatment of asthma. It does not help during an acute asthma attack. Flovent works by preventing and reducing inflammation within the nasal passages.

Flovent Dosage and direction

Flovent Precautions

Tell your doctor if you have been sick or had an infection of any kind. Do not use Flovent until you are well. Consult with your doctor if your child is not growing at a normal rate, because Flovent can affect growth in children. Long-term use of steroids may caused osteoporosis, especially if you smoke, if you do not exercise, if you do not get enough vitamin D or calcium in your diet, or if you have a family history of osteoporosis.

Flovent Contraindications

Flovent Do not use Flovent if you are allergic to any ingredient in Flovent Aerosol Inhaler.

Do not use Flovent if you are having a severe asthma attack requiring quick relief.

Flovent Possible side effect

Flovent Immediately find medical help if you experience any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Flovent Drug Interactions

This drug should not be used with the following medications: aldesleukin, mifepristone.

Flovent Overdose

An overdose of this medication is not likely to be harmful, but don't forget to consult with your doctor. But note that high steroid doses during long time can lead to symptoms such as thinning skin, easy bruising, changes in the shape or location of body fat, increased acne or facial hair, menstrual problems, impotence, or loss of interest in sex.

Flovent Missed dose

If you have forgotten to take your dose in time, please do it as soon as you remember. But do not take if it is too late or almost time for your next dose. Do not increase your recommended dose. Take your usually dose next day in the same regularly time.

Flovent Storage

Store at room temperature between 59-77 degrees F (15-25 degrees C) away from light and moisture, kids and pets. Do not use after expiration term.
